I had waited
for so long.
A year
and then some
for you.
When you called
I came,
running,
to you.
But you could never answer
me.
You could not say
the one thing
that people live
their entire lives
to hear.
It was not until much later
did I learn
that no answer
is still an answer.

I really deserved more,
you know?
